To judge whether a smart fingerprint lock is good or bad, there are three basic points: convenience, stability and security. Those who do not meet these three points are not worth choosing.
Let’s understand the good and bad of fingerprint locks from the unlocking method of smart fingerprint locks.
Smart fingerprint locks are generally divided into 4, 5, and 6 unlocking methods.
Common smart fingerprint locks mainly include key unlocking, magnetic card unlocking, password unlocking, fingerprint unlocking, and mobile app unlocking.
Key unlocking: This is the same as the traditional mechanical lock. The fingerprint lock also has a place to insert the key. Here to judge whether the fingerprint lock is safe is mainly the level of the lock core. Some fingerprint locks are real cores, and some are fake cores. A real mortise means that there is a lock cylinder, and a false mortise means that there is no lock cylinder, and there is only one lock head for inserting the key. Then, the real ferrule is safer than the fake ferrule.
The lock cylinders of most fingerprint locks are C-level, some are B-level, and the security level is divided from high to low: C-level is greater than B-level and greater than A-level. The higher the level of the lock cylinder, the more difficult it is to open it technically.
Password unlocking: The potential danger of this unlocking method is mainly to prevent the password from being peeped or copied. When we enter the password to open the door, fingerprints will be left on the password screen, and this fingerprint will be easily copied. Another situation is that when we enter the password, the password will be peeked at by others or recorded in other ways. Therefore, a very important security protection for smart fingerprint lock password unlocking is virtual password protection. With this function, when we enter the password, even if we leave fingerprint traces or are peeped, we don’t have to worry about the password leakage.
Fingerprint unlocking: This unlocking method is the same as password unlocking, and it is easy for people to copy fingerprints, so fingerprints also have corresponding protection. Fingerprint recognition methods are divided into semiconductor recognition and optical body recognition. Semiconductor recognition only recognizes living fingerprints. Optical body recognition means that as long as the fingerprint is right, no matter whether it is living or otherwise, the door can be opened. Then, the optical body fingerprint identification method has potential risks, that is, fingerprints are easy to be copied. Semiconductor fingerprints are much safer. When choosing, fingerprint recognition: semiconductors are safer than optical bodies.
Magnetic card unlocking: The potential risk of this unlocking method is magnetic interference. Many smart fingerprint locks now have magnetic interference protection functions, such as: anti-small coil interference, etc. As long as there is a corresponding protection function, there is no problem.
Mobile app unlocking: This unlocking method is software, and the potential risk involved is hacker network attack. The brand fingerprint lock is very good, and generally there will be no problems. Don’t worry too much.
To judge whether a fingerprint lock is good or bad, you can judge from the unlocking method, and see if each unlocking method has a corresponding protection function. Of course, this is a method, mainly the function, but also depends on the quality of the fingerprint lock.
The quality is mainly materials and workmanship. Materials are generally divided into pv/pc materials, aluminum alloys, zinc alloys, stainless steel/tempered glass. PV/PC is mainly used for low-end fingerprint locks, aluminum alloy is used for low-end fingerprint locks, zinc alloy and tempered glass are mainly used for high-end fingerprint locks.
In terms of workmanship, there are IML process treatment, chrome plating and galvanizing, etc. The ones with workmanship treatment are better than those without workmanship treatment.
